Board of Assessment Review

Roles and responsibilities

The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) in our Village is responsible for reviewing property assessments to ensure they are fair and accurate. If a property owner believes their assessment is incorrect, they can appeal to the BAR, which will evaluate the case and determine if a change is warranted. The BAR helps ensure that property taxes are applied equitably, supporting a fair system for all residents while maintaining the integrity of the Village’s tax base.
