Building Inspector

The Village Building Inspector, who is certified by the New York State Department of State, is responsible for administering and enforcing all provisions of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, the New York State Energy Conservation Construction Code, the National Electrical Code and Village Zoning regulations.

The Village Building Inspector accepts, reviews and processes:

• Building Permit applications
• Contractor License applications
• Seasonal Rental Permit applications
• Zoning Board of Appeals applications
• Certificates of Occupancy and Certificates of Compliance

The Village Building Inspector also serves as the Coastal Erosion Management Administrator and the Flood Damage Prevention Administrator.
